Accessibility

Exchange-currency.com is committed to ensuring that everyone can access the site. If you have difficulty in reading it on your screen, you may be able to change the settings on your browser to help you.

The following suggestions can be applied to any site that you visit. However, you may find that not all pages within a site are compatible.

To apply changes permanently, within Internet Explorer:

  • Choose the 'Tools' menu, then 'Internet Options'.
  • On the 'General' tab, click 'Accessibility'.
  • Tick each of the three check-boxes.
  • Select 'OK'.

Font style

You will probably find that text with a sans serif font (such as Arial) is easier to read than a serif font (such as Times New Roman). To change your text font setting:

  • Choose the 'Tools' menu, then 'Internet Options'.
  • On the 'General' tab, click 'Fonts'.
  • Choose the fonts you would like to use from the 'Web page font' and 'Plain text font' lists.
  • Select 'OK'.
  • Select 'OK'.

How to enlarge the text

Enlarging the text will also make the page easier to read. To do this:

  • On the 'Browser' menu click 'View'.
  • Select 'Text size', then choose the size of text you require.

Colours

It is the combination of fonts and background colours used in web page design that may result in it becoming difficult to read. However, you can choose settings to suit you - for example, using a distinct contrast, such as red text on a yellow background. To change the text colour and background colour:

  • Choose the 'Tools' menu, then click 'Internet Options'.
  • On the 'General' tab, click 'Colours'.
  • Un-tick the 'Use Windows Colours' check-box.
  • In the box next to 'Text' choose a colour.
  • Select 'OK'.
  • In the box next to 'Background', again choose a colour.
  • Select 'OK'.

Window size

To change the size of the window:

  • Select the 'View' menu then 'Full Screen' from the toolbar, or just press F11.

Other options

There are other options to tailor web pages that help make them easier to read. These may be found under the 'Tools' menu:

  • Select 'Internet Options', then the 'Advanced' tab.
  • Choose from the options available to improve visibility.
